WiFi Privacy notice

This privacy notice relates to Ingka Centres Management UK Ltd, with its registered office at 100 Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, MK9 1FH (“Ingka Centres”) collection and processing of your personal data when you use the WiFi Service (“Service”) at the Ingka Centres venue in the United Kingdom. The Service is run by Yo Wireless Global Limited hereinafter referred to as “Partner”. This Privacy Notice covers both private customers and business customers.

We will always be transparent with you about what we do with your personal data. We only collect, store and process your personal data in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Please read this privacy notice carefully before using the Service.

Your personal data

Ingka Centres is the “data controller” of any personal data it may collect, process and hold about you, unless we inform you otherwise.

For the legitimate interest of providing you the Service, our Partner will process and hold your device media access control (MAC) address on our behalf for up to 5 hours from the time you disconnect from the Service. Without this limited processing, Ingka Centres will be technically unable to provide you with the Service.

Opting in for MAC Authentication (automatic login on return visits)

If you choose to opt in to MAC authentication, our Partner will store your device MAC address on our behalf. This will enable your device to be recognised each time you return to the Ingka Centres’ venue without the need to login on each occasion. Your device MAC address will be stored for one year and one day from your last visit, after which it will be deleted permanently. If you return to the Ingka Centres’ venue after this period, you will need to login again.

Use of MAC Address and associated data

If you opt in for MAC Authentication, your use of the Service will be associated with your device MAC address and Ingka Centres may use such analytics to improve wireless coverage, the Service and venue design to further improve the WIFI experience. Ingka Centres and our Partner will never share your MAC address with any third party.
We do not knowingly solicit personal data from children or send them requests for personal data. We acknowledge that visitors of all ages may use our website, however, we do not intentionally collect personal data from those under the age of 18.
Opting Out of MAC Authentication

If you change your mind and no longer want to use the MAC authentication, please click on the “forget me button” on your next visit to one of our Ingka Centres’ venues, or write to forgetme@yowireless.com. Our Partner will ensure the deletion of your device MAC Address without undue delay.

Marketing

If you have given us your contact details, we may use these (in accordance with any preferences you have expressed) to send you marketing messages by email, SMS and post, to keep you aware of what we're up to.

When we collect your personal data, we give you the opportunity to opt-in to receive marketing messages by simply ticking the boxes.

If you opt in to receive marketing communication, you will first receive a marketing questionnaire from Ingka Centres asking you to give consent to the types of marketing you would like to receive, and provide any additional personal data required.

Further, both Ingka Centres and our Partner may store and process the following data:

  • your name;

  • your e-mail address;

  • your telephone number; and

  • your MAC Address.

Should you change your mind, we have lots of ways you can stop receiving marketing messages, which we've set out below. If you are currently opted-out of our marketing, you can always choose to opt-in to receive our emails by amending your preferences.

Opting out of marketing

If you change your mind and no longer want your personal data stored and used for marketing purposes, please click on the “forget me button” when you next visit one of our venues or write to forgetme@yowireless.com. Our Partner will ensure deletion of your personal data from all Service platforms without undue delay.

Our Partner will also send your request to Ingka Centres and we will independently confirm deletion of your personal data from our systems. It might take some time for all our systems to be updated, so you might get messages from us while we fully process your request, but we will ensure that we mark you as having opted out on our database as soon as we receive your request.

How we use your personal data

If you have opted in to receive marketing communication and information, our Partner will allow access to your data by Ingka Centres and we may use this information that you have provided in order to contact you for marketing purposes and to understand your needs and what products and services would be of interest to you in the future. Your personal data may also be used for the statistical analysis and providing tailored marketing messages to your device. We and our Partner promise you that we will not share your personal data with a third party unless required by law.
