Celebrating the Power of Positive Change at the BID Summer Festival!
What an exciting start to the BID Summer Festival! Last week, we were in amongst the fantastic kick-off to the festival with ‘Climate Action Week’, and we can’t wait to share what we have been up to.
As the proud exclusive sponsor of the 2023 BID Summer Festival, Livat has collaborated with the local community to co-host an array of environmentally-friendly activities, designed to have a positive impact on our climate and its people.
Let's take a look at some of the exciting events that have already unfolded!
CLIMATE ACTION DAY - 27TH JUNE
Embracing the spirit of climate activism, Livat partnered with the esteemed charity, Groundwork, to host an educational wildflower planting activity at Lyric Square. Attendees not only had the chance to sow their own wildflower seeds using eco-friendly compost, but they were also treated to the presence of buzzing beehives and a knowledgeable beekeeper from Bee Urban. It was a wonderful opportunity to understand the significance of bees in preserving our precious planet.
CLIMATE PLEDGE WALL:
As part of its unwavering commitment to sustainability, Livat set up an inspiring climate pledge wall, encouraging locals to pen down their positive climate promises. Determined to extend the impact beyond a single day, the pledge wall now extends to an online platform, where pledges can continue to be made. Your contributions to the pledge wall will guide us in creating more fantastic events, including our popular Mending Circle workshops at Livat, aimed at building a more sustainable and socially conscious Hammersmith community.
SWAP SHOP - 29TH & 30TH JUNE
Promoting sustainable shopping and combatting textile waste, Livat invited shoppers to refresh their wardrobes by giving their pre-loved clothes a new lease of life. Thanks to celebrity stylist Angela Barnard's expert guidance, participants discovered new styles while embracing a more sustainable approach to fashion.

FILM NIGHTS - 28TH JUNE & 21ST JULY
Calling all movie enthusiasts! Prepare for an amazing outdoor cinema experience at Lyric Square, as Livat sponsors the Big Screen for special screenings throughout the summer festival. Additionally, the action from Wimbledon will be live-streamed from 3rd to 16th July, adding an extra dose of entertainment.
WELLNESS WEDNESDAYS - 28TH JUNE - 26TH JULY
Prioritise your well-being with Wellness Wednesdays, where Livat has teamed up with the esteemed wellness expert, Aliyah Coaching, to offer FREE Breathwork sessions. Explore the transformative power of breath, as it helps regulate, heal, and rebalance your nervous system, while releasing suppressed emotions and managing stress and anxiety. The sessions will be held at Lyric Square every Wednesday from 28th June until the end of July, with two slots available each day (12:30 pm - 1:00 pm & 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm). These sessions are entirely free, and no bookings are required – just drop in and experience the positive vibes! Plus, a small Livat gift will be included, so be sure to join in whilst stocks last*.
