Join Livat in celebrating London Climate Action Week!
Join Livat in celebrating London Climate Action Week (LCAW), which takes place in Lyric Square Hammersmith, from Saturday 22nd – Sunday 30th June 2024. We’re mobilising action across the whole of society by participating at the Climate Festival on Lyric Square and bringing back our Summer Clothes Swap in the Livat Atrium.
Climate Festival – Wednesday 26th June, 11am – 3pm (Lyric Square)
During our Climate Festival there will be a range of activities supporting environmentally friendly active travel and biodiversity. These activities aim to encourage collective action and are open to Hammersmith’s employees, residents, and visitors.
Wildflower Planting – Wednesday 26th June, 11am – 4pm
Livat (in collaboration with Groundwork London) will be on Lyric Square celebrating Hammersmith’s biodiversity with a fun wildflower planting activity.
Wildflowers provide bees with food through pollen and nectar, so attendees will be invited to do their bit by participating in a wildflower planting session. People will also be able to create their own bird seed pick ‘n’ mix to take-home, all to support local wildlife.
Our activity will be led by Groundwork and Livat Community Gardener Sarah and those interested in further participation can consider joining our weekly gardening sessions and workshops at the Livat Community Garden.
Climate Action Pledge Wall – Wednesday 26th June, 11am – 4pm (Lyric Square)
Come and join us on Lyrics Square, as we host our Livat Climate Pledge Wall, encouraging local Hammersmith & Fulham residents, to make their climate action pledges for 2024.

The Livat & Hammersmith BID Summer Clothes Swap – Thursday 27th - Saturday 29th June, 12pm - 5pm (Livat)
Join the summer clothes swap event to refresh your wardrobe sustainably!
Refresh your summer wardrobe and discover new styles with The Livat & Hammersmith BID Community Clothes Swap - perfect for all occasions, whether it's for the office, a party, festivals, or summer holidays!
To participate, visitors are required to bring up to six items to donate, which they can swap for up to six items. Surplus clothing from the event will be donated back to the local Traid and Royal Trinity Hospice charity shop.
The event is an excellent opportunity for local fashionistas to socialise and meet like-minded individuals, while minimising their environmental impact! So, bring your clothes along to swap and refresh your wardrobe for free!

Community Garden Workshop – Saturday 29th June, 10am - 12pm (Ashcroft Square)
We're hosting free gardening sessions & workshops at the Livat Community Garden, where gardeners will be on hand to help you create a communal herb & vegetable garden, in the planters of Ashcroft Square
Whether you’re a late ‘bloomer’ to gardening, or a ‘keen bean’ for all things green, our workshops will equip you with the knowledge and skills to be the cream of the crop.
Theme: Garden in a basket – learn all about planting summer flowers and using baskets to grow them, teaching how we can increase biodiversity from our windowsills!
